A wonderful little repousse dish with a center scene of a wood cutter and a windmill in the background. Dutch 833 silver standard certified by the lion mark with a "2" underneath. Looks like date code for 1907 as indicated by the little circle mark with a very fancy "L' in script (Tardy's "Poincoins d"argent", pp 321 & 324. Also maker's marks. Nice sharp repousse work.

This is a solid spoon with good weight. Russian silver before the Soviet era was of very high quality ...click for details

$175. Inquire or offer

A very rare Russian silver fork with a 4 point crown armorial and fancy monogram which look like "ON" or "NO". There is a strip of copper overlay on the back of the lower tine if you are right handed. The Russian immigre from whom I bought this several years back told me the copper is to test for poison. The 4 point crown denotes mid-level aristocracy related to the imperial line. (They often think differently so the monogram faces the opposite direction from how we no ...click for details
