A lovely and ornate repousse sterling 3 piece teaset from the William IV period. The big teapot holds about 50 fluid ounces, and it pours nicely from the ornate spout. Hinged lid so you don't have to worry about losing it. Matching creamer and open sugar. All have those decorated feet which are slightly turned up. A striking 1839 London sterling teapot with ivory separators by Charles Fox, member of an important 19th century London goldsmith family. This is one of those graceful low bulbous designs with a very pronounced handle and spout which seems to soar, very stable. Nice floral & vine design. A fine Gorham 5 piece sterling tea set with repousse plum blossoms. Set includes teapot, hot water, cream, sugar and waste bowl. Both teapot & hot water pot are 1 1/4 pint capacity. Both have ivory or bone insulators on the handles. Nice detail with the repousse standing out deep in relief (see detail pic of inside). A beautiful English sterling serving (table) spoon from the period of George III (1760-1820). This is an early example of repousse, and the silver is heavy gauge. You can see in the close-up that stipple and chasing were added over the punched up repousse designs. Lots of fine detail. Plenty of deep chase work on the handle as well.
