A wonderful victorian marble top parlor or lamp table with a burlwood frame around the Sienna marble and dressing up the sides. And true to victoriana, lots of detail all over. A functional detail is the positioning pegs for the frame to fit around and over the marble exactly in place. So rare to find one with a frame and with such warm rich color. The red marble is rather harder to find than white marble. Goes well with the wood.

An early Victorian period English display cabinet with numerous carved figures and faces, and what I like best, a marvelous classical chariot scene. There is also a woman on a winged steed, hair and mane flying! Many other faces as you can see from the pictures. In fact, the front is all covered with carvings. Writing says "Lady Bridget Osborne", probably in English history or mythology. I believe this is early to mid Victorian, maybe late Georgian.

The lowest shelf is the base into which the top unit fits.
