清画小鹿 This is a traditional Chinese brush painting of a beautiful deer with sharp antlers. He looks so proud and grand. The silk is old and is clearly at least 19th century. Signature and seal is of an 18th century artist Tsou I-Kwei (1682-1772). He was famous for painting animals, flowers and birds.

This is a fine famille rose vase from the Early Republic of China era (about 1900-1930s). The figure with the big head is the god of longevity. And there are 50 different character representations for the word "longevity". Beautiful square blue seal mark of the most famous Ch'ien Lung Emperor within a double foot rim. A graceful bijin (beauty) woodblock print by the 18th century artist Kiyomine Torii (1787 - 1868), a pupil and grandson of Torii Kiyonaga of Edo (Tokyo). His prints of this early period are generally considered his best. His bijin often have the elongated lines leaning slightly backwards and gazing at the long train of her kimono, typical of the Torii school. He later used the name Torii Kiyomitsu II. A fun antique Japanese tripod bronze censor (incense burner) with a wonderful shi-shi or lion finial and writhing dragons on facing sides. There is an integral decorated base.It has a fine patination, and the details of the animal themes are very good. About 7" high and 4 1/2" diameter base. Very good condition, no scratches or dents.

A fun Japanese mixed metal "shakudo" bronze vase with a gorgeous long tail rooster. He is found in northern Japan and has a silver tail which can really be as long as 9 feet. His feet and beak are in gold. Silver plum blossoms on the branches. The red crown and wattles are in copper. Signature says "carved by Kho-Shyu". (Chalk rubbed into the signature to take pic.) From the Meiji era 1868-1912.
