清馬家桐牡丹画 This is another antique Chinese painting, of the perenial favorite peonies. The blossoms and leaves are floating in the breeze. Clearly painted by a master of floral painting. Image 17 by 28 inches in a silk matt and a 23 by 34 simple gold frame. Condition is good with a couple of tiny worm holes. It has been cleaned up some time ago before being put under glass. 清陈浩画水仙 A fine Chinese literati painting on paper of narcissus blossoms by Qing (Ch'ing) dynasty artist Chen Hao. He is listed in the Chinese Artists Dictionary as working during the last Ch'ing (Qing) dynasty (1644-1911). Born in the Shanghai region, he excelled in painting bamboo and was an excellent calligrapher. This painting has a poem written in his hand together with full signature and 2 seals of the artist.
