Rare Guangxu Tongzhi period Peking overlay glass snuff bottle blank, no mark. Green over white and well hollowed out and before carving. The inner rim has been already smoothed down. This is old Shangtong overlay glass originally shipped to the imperial workshops or private shops to be carved by lapidary craftsmen. Fine antique Guangxu Chinese snuff bottle made of porcelain molded as an ear of corn. Late Qing. Matched later composite top with bone spoon, well shaped. You can tell easily the age of this one since the details of each seed is molded & shaped into the porcelain. The later ones have painted outlines. An antique Tonghzi mark porcelain snuff bottle with fishermen in famille rose paintings and foo lion (dog) handles. Wonderful miniature expressive figures. Fun horizontal form with pearl finial top and nice composite spoon neatly done. Late 19th century and of the period. 2.5" wide and 2.25" high. Very good condition with no cracks lines or repairs. Slight wear to enamel.

Qianlong imperial workshop ruby red peking glass round snuff bottle with bats, chilongs and a "longevity" (shou) character medallion. All 3 are symbols of longevity. This is another example of a finely painted blue and white snuff bottle with wonderful details. It was done in the tradition of Chinese literary landscape paintings in which you will find an idealized micro-cosmos for the scholar. We have here a traveler waiting for the sampan to take him to a retreat in the mountains. Fine Guangxu period ovoid snuff bottle of jasper hard stone with glints of crystal. No marks. Jade button top with silver spoon. Well hollowed and translucent in the sunlight. Nice oval foot. 2.3" high by 1.5" wide. Very good condition no damage. Nice touch in the hand.

Guangxu period pebble form snuff bottle so realistic that the Peking glass can be mistaken for a pebble. This is a nice old one with silky smooth surface from years of handling. Bottle is well hollowed, and in fact may have held opium at one time as the black residue in the neck suggests. Brownish color is not damage, color in the glass and some from inner residue.
