Fine antique Guangxu Chinese snuff bottle made of porcelain molded as an ear of corn. Late Qing. Matched later composite top with bone spoon, well shaped. You can tell easily the age of this one since the details of each seed is molded & shaped into the porcelain. The later ones have painted outlines. Also the footrim is different... the older ones have sharp well defined rims like this one. This is a fine well hollowed 19th century or Qing dynasty snuff bottle made of horn. It has a carnelian top and a bone spoon. See the great color when lit from the back. It is because of the thin walls. 2 inches high by 1 1/2 inch across. The condition is very good. Slight fissure near the center is normal to horn bills.
Rare Guangxu Tongzhi period Peking overlay glass snuff bottle blank, no mark. Green over white and well hollowed out and before carving. The inner rim has been already smoothed down. This is old Shangtong overlay glass originally shipped to the imperial workshops or private shops to be carved by lapidary craftsmen. Fine Daoguan Tongzhi period blue and white cylindrical snuff bottle with a delicately painted monkey riding a galloping horse; a scene of the Monkey King from the Tales of the Western Journey. An older 19th century snuff bottle with rolled mouth rim with a circle and circles both outside and inside the footrim. Excellent quality biscuit and glaze. Nice shaped green top with finial.
Fine Guangxu period ovoid snuff bottle of jasper hard stone with glints of crystal. No marks. Jade button top with silver spoon. Well hollowed and translucent in the sunlight. Nice oval foot.

A period Qianlong imperial workshop lapis snuff bottle of graceful flat form, well hollowed (and with some snuff inside). This is old lapis lazuli with fine texture with gold flecks and detail which is not found today. The elegant smooth surface shows off the visual texture of the stone. Pink granite top with a pearl. A fine 19th century Chinese snuff bottle with a wonderful red & black swirl. This type of bottle came from the Shangtung area in the north. Well hollowed, good footrim and silky to the touch. Later stopper of red glass conforms well. Nice transparent effect in the light.
3" high. Very good condition. This is a well finished antique example.
Qianlong imperial workshop ruby red peking glass round snuff bottle with bats, chilongs and a "longevity" (shou) character medallion. All 3 are symbols of longevity. These little chilongs (pi-hu)on the shoulders are rare (usually taotie masks). It is a symbol of success. Maybe a birthday commemorative? 18th century. Gorgeous red. Exquisite workmanship. Antique snuff bottle of "ice crystal" agate and with a bright carnelian top. The crystal pattern is quite pronounced with backlighting. Good dendrifical formation also. Circa 1900 Qing dynasty. No marks. Traces of snuff give faint fragrance.

Fine Jiaqing Daoguang period ruby red snuff bottle, Peking glass likely from imperial workshops. It is exquisite with panels on all 4 sides and each is dimpled or concave, a very desirable feature. Exceptionally delicate thin footrim not found on later bottles. Carnelian top and silver spoon.
