Masters of Japanese Calligraphy by Shimizu and Rosenfield is a classic for the 8th-19th century masters; published by the Japan House Gallery and the Asia Society Galleries in 1984 on the occasion of an Exhibition at the Nelson Atkins Museum of Kansas and the Seattle Museum in 1985.
