A long Japanese sansui or landscape sumi-e brush painting from the Taisho Showa era and titled "Lone Angler on the River". Signature and seal of the artist Kyo Yuki upper right, collector's seal lower right. The picture is on silk, and mounted on brocade. Image 15" by 46" and full scrolle length 20" by 78". Very good condition, no tears or stains.

Very nicely painted dragon and phoenix facing off with the flaming pearl of wisdom between them. Same motif on the little handless cups and the gently lobed tray.
