清陈浩画水仙 A fine Chinese literati painting on paper of narcissus blossoms by Qing (Ch'ing) dynasty artist Chen Hao. He is listed in the Chinese Artists Dictionary as working during the last Ch'ing (Qing) dynasty (1644-1911). Born in the Shanghai region, he excelled in painting bamboo and was an excellent calligrapher. This painting has a poem written in his hand together with full signature and 2 seals of the artist.

A complete lovely English bone china tea set for four by Paragon from the 1920-40s. It consists of a tall teapot or coffee pot creamer & sugar handled cake plate and 4 sets of cup-saucer-plate. An antique Japanese satsuma tazza (compote) of rare and vigorous form. It has a scalloped bowl rather like chrysanthemum petals. The broad pedestal is pierced. It was hand thrown and slightly asymmetrical, having its own aethestic appeal. The Japanese appreciated asymmetry. No marks. The center design is that of a feudal lord or daimyo with an attendant kneeling next to him, perhaps bearing alarming tidings about the battle.
