A Shelley Wild Flowers teaset for 6 including: tall teapot cream & sugar, handled cake plate, and 6 trios with footed cups (cup saucer and individual plate). The form is either Cambridge or Gainsborough I can never remember! And the footed cups are particularly desirable. Beautiful understated Shelley decorations and colors. Love that pale blue trim. Shelley "England" shield mark.
Teapot 7.5"" high by 8"" widest with 4.8"" shoulder diameter; cake plate 10"" widest by 8.5"" deep; cup 2.6"" high by 3.2"" widest; saucer & side plate 6"" diameter. Only one cup has a hairline. Otherwise very good condition on all pieces. No chips hairlines or repairs. Quite rare today to find a full set like this. Wonderful example of fine English bone china. If you collect Shelley don't miss this set! |
