A gorgeous art deco period harp lamp with an onyx base and a signed Quezal art glass shade. Lamp is bronzed metal with nice detail. It has an onyx ball and base. Except for the socket and wire (both replaced recently but should always be checked by your electrician), the lamp is old. Lamp socket will pivot on a ball joint. Has cute little pad feet. Can't tell if shade & lamp were originally together... Shade is signed Quezal in that distinctive large style along the fitter rim.
16.5" high to finial, 9" harp width x 4.5" diameter base; shade 4" high x 4.5" diameter. Very good condition, little age wear on the bronze gilt mostly there. Shade is free of flakes & cracks, only some very shallow chipping along the fitter rim, usual for these shades. Very hard to find a period lamp with Quezal shade. Throws a lovely warm light. Don't miss it! |
