A victorian tea / coffee set consisting of 4 pieces and a tray. The set is decorated all over with a fancy repousse floral theme. The designs are in relief with lots of high relief as you can see from the detail pictures. Marked Meriden Silver Plate Co. of Conneticut (see pics). Bone separators on the handles. The included silver plate tray is of the same pattern. The set is about 120 years old.
Teapot 8" high x 8.9" wide, Hot water pot 6.5" high x 8" wide, Sugar 5" high x 6" wide, cream 4.2" high x 4" high, Tray 21" x 12.5". Condition of the set is very good, silver plate pretty much all there; a few spots of wear as normal. I estimate over 95%. No dings or breaks. This is a very pretty American repousse teaset, and with the original tray. Hard to find in such good condition. |
