A beautiful Victorian silver tea service with decorative and ruffled rims. The elaborate and fine chased wild rose patterns are on both sides of the 3 vessels. This graceful botanical design was much sought after in the late 1800s. Circle mark of Barbour Silver Co., Quadruple silver, a well known maker of bright silver plate of high quality.
9.5" high stately teapot, 10" wide and with white faux ivory spacers on the handle; creamer 4" high; open sugar 3.8" high; 3 pcs. Some wear to the plating as can be seen in the pictures; overall very good condition. A fine tea set of the Victorian aethestic movement period with a lovely design of ragosa roses. |
