An interesting and intriguing folk oil painting on masonite board of a young black girl leaning on a railing beneath a crescent moon. She is contemplating and has a hint of smile. Picture area 13.5" x 8.6" in a recent frame of 17.5" x 14". Picture in very good condition. The faint horizontal line you see across the moon is most likely a telephone line deliberately put there. Frame is also in very good condition. No signature. This is an unusual painting but a very universal American scene. |
