A lovely charcoal study drawing on artist paper of a seated female nude figure. (The face is somewhat reminescent of a self portrait.) Signed "Bernstein" upper right in the back. This is by Theresa Bernstein (1890-2002), a listed artist who worked in Philadelphia, New York and the North Shore of Massachusetts. She was known for her bold brush strokes.
Image 18 by 24 inches, very good condition, dog ear left margin not near picture and not visible framed. A wide new frame with linen liner. A fine nude study by a listed artist. |
