An early American Brilliant Period Cut Glass covered compote with a spectacular pyramid form finial. Most likely New England Glass or Sandwich, 1880 or earlier. Panel cuts all around with slanted bevel at the rim. Rings beautifully. 15 1/4" tall, 6 1/4" diameter. Very good condition. Note: The glass has a warm tone, often found on antique lead glass. This is emphasized by the lighting of the pictures. |
