Imperial Daoguang period carved porcelain biscuit snuff bottle, with very spare ke-yao glaze for high lights. The overall design includes the lotus and a spider. This type of carved biscuit was popular in the 18-19th century Jianqing Daoguang transition period. The stopper is malachite with an old and well formed bone spoon.
About 3 1/2 inches and in wonderful condition. This is a pretty rare find, and definitely old. Please take a look at my other fine snuff bottles listed now.
Note 1. A similar bottle with floral theme is found in Kleiner's 1977 "Chinese Snuff Bottles from the Mary and George Bloch Collection", #240.
