This is a fine Qing dynasty (Ch'ing) rank badge to be worn by a senior civil official. There is a lot of gold and silver metallic threads for highlight and ground. This is a genuine rank badge with the embroidered borders, (not a piece cut from a robe, for example). Very nice borders with longevity characters.
About 12 inches square backed on board and in very good condition with a little fading. |
