清道光款粉采山水鼻烟壶. Antique Daoguang mark and of the period snuff bottle (1821-1850), surely decorated in the imperial palace porcelain workshops. A miniature literati landscape in the sacred mountains can be seen on this snuff bottle. San (mountain), sui (water) dotted with people, boats, foliage, pavillions. I particularly like the fisherman with that long pole and line. Details of painted enamel on porcelain are often better than those on glass snuff bottles. This 4 character imperial seal mark of Emperor Daoguang is often used on snuff bottles. See mark #62 of Avitabile's book The Dragon Throne.
3" high fine condition no damage. Famille rose enamel painting with excellent detail.
