An antique celadon jade snuff bottle fully hollowed out in rectangular form. Note the detail picture showing the light coming through the bottom of the snuff bottle looking down into the mouth. So thin it is almost a floater. Fully carved footrim. 18th century, Qianlong or early Jiaqing period celadon jade bottle. Later stopper finial is a cultured pearl over red composite.
2.6" high, 1.8" wide by 1" deep. Very good condition with no flaking or damage or repair. Stopper has a tiny scar on the composite. Unusual understated snuff bottle with prized celadon color having a pronounced green hue on the jade. If you are a jade aficionado, please see my item #444763, a Jiaqing Daoguang period scholar's celadon jade brush holder/bitong.
