A lovely Kangxi mark phoenix and flowers plate in blue and white. Excellent detail and saphire blue. Six character apocryphal Kangxi imperial mark belongs to a group made in the late 19th century. Good example of fine porcelain made during this era in emulation of Kangxi blue and white which was much valued at the time.
9.25" diameter and in very good condition with no chips, lines, or repairs. White spots from flash. Slight bottom rim irregularity is from the kiln and not a chip. |
