嘉庆粉彩人物小酒杯 A Jiaqing mark small wine cup or bowl and of the period in a fun cut corner form, with figures from a Peking opera and ladies watching. 6 character red mark. {The red mark is used on some Jiaqing mark and period items as can be seen in quite a few examples of the Palace Museum catalogues.) The figures are delicately drawn with fine detail. I particularly like the woman playing a pipa (Chinese stringed instrument).
2" high and 3.5" rim width. Porcelain in fine condition no chips cracks or repairs. Colors probably lightly retouched.
Notes:
1) Partial Chinese Time Table important to ceramics:
Shun-Tze 1644-1661, Kangxi 1662- 1722 |
