Rare large mocha ware or yellow ware bowl with green seaweed decoration. 15" in diameter. The seaweed is in the typical band around the bowl, each one different from hand painting. Color difference is from taking pictures in sunlight and on a shady day.
15" diameter 6.7" high. Good utilitarian condition with one chip on the rim, one on footrim and a short line (see pics); a few spots of glaze loss in the center. Most important, it has a good ring all around. Very decorative in right setting. |
